LAUGHTER
YOGA
There are currently 5000 Laughter Clubs in 53 countries. Started by Dr.
Madan Kataria, a medical doctor in India who was curious about the effects
of laughter on a person's health. He became inspired by the results of
his research, that the benefits of laughter are there, whether we are
laughing for a reason or not. Laughter yoga is a lighthearted way to experience
connection with yourself and with others, to allow yourself permission
to feel joyous and child like. The group practices laughter exercises,
along with gentle yogic stretches and breathing. The tremendous intake
of air during the laughter infuses your body with fresh 'prana' or life
force. Scientific research has proven that laughter affects every system
of the body. If you are part of a work group, senior center, church group
or other, please contact me to arrange a session. I'd love to come laugh
with you. Laughter Yoga provides breathing exercises from
Pranayama yoga with laughter exercises. No experience is required, no
specific fitness level. Check out Happiness and Laughter Yoga as seen on Oprah!:
